On July 31st, we had only a few days left to spend in Colorado so we had to make some tough choices on what to visit next. We picked out the Black Canyon of the Gunnison, not too far a drive and supposedly very beautiful.
And we didn't regret our choice. Not only was the Black Canyon worth the drive, the drive itself was worth the drive! We followed the Gunnison river past some amazing places...
The Black Canyon is Colorado's very worthy alternative to the Grand Canyon. We didn't get very lucky with the weather but the views were still pretty amazing. It made us wonder what other amazing places the US is "hiding" for us Europeans!
